Project Description
280 8th Avenue is a 13-story mixed-use residential development bringing 104 thoughtfully designed rental units to the vibrant neighborhood of Chelsea. Developed by Red Apple Group under RA 280 Development LLC and designed by SLCE Architects, the building spans over 95,000 square feet and includes 6,083 square feet of street-level retail and 511 square feet of community facility space. Twenty-eight of the apartments have been designated as affordable housing, reflecting a commitment to balanced growth and inclusive living.
The project replaced a single-story commercial structure that previously housed a Rite Aid, transforming the corner site into a contemporary, high-density residential address.
